This episode is an unintentional inbetweener between the two different podcast projects and I'm keeping this recording since it's an important part of my process of living more authentically. Especially long-term when I will have learned more in the future and can look back at this period in hindsight

WoG Brainstormz # 44 - Mindblown

This recording is all over the place a'la the classic Brainstormz episodes, but I still manage to dig deep. Just took much longer haha

I’m basically clearing my mind after an intense period. The more I keep on talking the more I notice how much this recording helps as a part of my mental regrouping as well as my healing process. I felt as if I was about become sick while recording this as well

• I prefer female Rogues. The female Night Elf looks the absolute best with the best animations for my tast. Not sure which race I’ll use Horde side. The new models really have lessened my options in regards to races I want to play. What’s up with those creepy eyes?  
• This is the single most chill return to a pre patch that I’ve ever had. Ever. There’s so much “you can do” that I’m skipping
• The reasons why I want to main Rogue. Tired of carrying so many sets of gear as a Druid when I min max. As a Rogue all I need is to change weapons and PvP gear. Eventually. Playing on NA gives me a great opportunity to focus a lot more on one class compared to EU where I have a plethora of alts available. How I’ll switch from Rogue if I change my mind 
• Starting out with chillsteps feels so good. It lays a great foundation if I want to go hard later on
• The difference between EU and NA players in general. I have a Rank 1 mindset, but I would never spend the time reaching Rank 1 
• Different pre patch behaviour in Shadowlands because of all the Garbage systems Blizzard implemented. Skipping a ton of "content". New playstyle priorities, PvP plans, Dragonflight choices,
• Testing pre patch before buying the Dragonflight expansion
• Solo Queue is rated. So what does that mean for the future? Solo RBG Queueing? Blizzard chose Solo Shuffle instead of Solo Queueing. The second choice would be so much easier to implement but Blizzard pride, bro. Modern Blizzard = Blizzard 2.0 and forward. Listen to episode # 32 for a breakdown of how Supercell managed to do what Blizzard 2.0 never could.
• How I'd find and add chill PvPers through Solo Shuffling. The Butthurt meta mindset vs the Rank 1 mindset. The Rank 1 mindset is 3 - 10% of the entire playerbase and within that already limited percentage there will be another 3% that push harder than the other 97% within the Rank 1 range. I might delve deeper into this topic about the 1 - 3% mindset at a later date. Time tells, there's no rush

WoG Brainstormz # 43 - 10.0 Dragonflight Pre Patch - Not playing has been the best way for me to play in Shadowlands

This gaming episode was recorded a week after the first Love Letterz episode that I mention during the recording. But at the time I wasn't sure if Love Letterz would be the name of that new project

• Back to WoW. Resubbed as a way to chill out and get used to the 10.0 pre patch 
• Casual playstyle. No Hardcore projects planned at all
• Dragonflight thoughts. Less timesinks for me to avoid. Professions is one of the timesinks though. Choosing region
• Using free PTR testing to save cash longer + the PTR IS available so why not? Ui, addons, keybindings etc
• Which faction? Time tells
• Dragonflight. Relaunch of retail WoW due to a huge loss of players. No, I still don't trust Blizzard 
• I have a different pre patch behaviour in Shadowlands because of all the Garbage systems Blizzard implemented. The outdoor solo content sucks more than ever 
• Taking breaks = saving so much irl lifetime + avoiding in game agony/slavery. I didn’t play the Shadowlands Tier Set patch at all. It feels like an absolute win since the Sets got nerfed during pre patch + Legendaries only work in Shadowlands zones now. It just goes to show how entirely messed up Blizzard's systems have been this dead expansion. I through in a pun there since Shadowlands killed WoW lololol
• Switching main class to Rogue from Druid. Since we can fly + I expect Herbalism to be nerfed for Druids in all Dragonflight zones. In cleaner words, I doubt Druids will be the fastest gatherers in Dragonflight + with the Cross Faction Auction House I don’t expect herbs to be worth that much at all either during the entire expansion either. Unless Blizzard make their usual mistake of adding a non-flying zone. Which I bet they will. “Great Scott!” - Doc, Back to the Future
• Portals and minimizing travel times is the highest priority. I’ll always be an Engineer on my toons IF the Dragonflight Wormhole is worth having as it was in Shadowlands
• New UI? I’m not satisfied. I said that I miss the old nameplates but I meant the old targetplates 
• I'll level alts to level 50. Then to level 60 from the 15th of November when Chromie Time gets boosted to level 60 content. During the recording I talked about Dragonflight launch because I didn't remember the 15th of november while I was recording 
• Bleach 1000 Year War adaption lasts 52 weeks with ZERO filler. It will be so fun to watch and add to my recurring anime watch list of classic favorites
• With Blizzard games you have to play smart if you don’t have time to spare. NOT playing WoW is the best way for me to play right now. The longest break I have ever taken gave me the opportunity to focus on other fun stuff in life and come back when I could skip most of the Shadowlands systems entirely. I’m a master at adaptation + avoiding timesinks while maximizing my fun. The reason why I mention this concept nonstop year after year? Because it is the main reason I can play and have fun in WoW and has been they way that I have played since I finally got Earthwarden to drop on my Bear Druid alt after burning out on PvE content in TBC. I mained Hunter and played Mage as an alt as well. Of course! Gold making was ALWAYS a very high priority from the very beginning since my friend, Thefortunate, told me that gold was so hard to make. You see how it all comes together and connects in Grayz’s World now? Haha

Why should I continue to podcast at all?
Where do I go with this project when there are more important topics that I’m passionate about than gaming?
Why do people still listen to me, even after I stopped uploading episodes consistently several years ago?

Those are a couple of the many topics that I dive into in this first episode of Love Letterz. As I prepare to change the course of this podcast project entirely thanks to my beloved loyal listeners as well my own growth

Being myself more and more in day to day life as my experiences become more and more intuitive every year

Shadowlands - Changes

Jesus! I can't create spaces on Blogger anymore. Will solve that in the future. // I've had a ton of things I wanted to write about and discuss before my WoW return, but WoW Life happens and I had all focus on PvPing, which was unexpected. Besides the fact that I wasn't going to play Shadowlands until 6-12 months in. No amount of planning can prepare a person for WoW Life. // Other than that zero will to podcast like I could in the past. The drive isn't there and without it I'd rather do other things where I have it. Twitch streams are fun, so I will be doing that regardless of I play WoW or not. // This also means that this blog will have stuff happening that aren't WoW related, simply because the premise for all of my Grayz projects have been practice for bigger things. Since day one. And I have never steered away from that since the amount of things I want to do increases. // Right, that's it. I don't feel like typing more right now. // Take care out there! Peace // Ps. Blogger looks super weird. I really hope the haven't fucked up my font choices, but I'm pretty sure they have. This means that I'll type elsewhere then paste it to Blogger in the future.

Shadowlands Update 2 - Streams

WoW break, Twitch focus, other content, insomnia, new work schedule, new sleep routines, I will always be a RBG leader from now on unless I fully trust the leader, new second realm is Draenor Horde after realm transfer of my level 60 Alliance alt, third realm is Silvermoon Alliance.

Shadowlands Update 1 - Paradigms

This return to WoW was not planned, but PvP vendors was the deciding factor like for so many other players. I actually thought I'd return 6-12 months into this xpac.

Stream of thoughts. Been a long time since I recorded anything.

No interest in the last pathes of BFA, the expansion after, the endgame, the systems, the leveling (too easy and tied to a Campaign on rails), thoughts about PvP, RBG's, leveling alts to avoid burnout, improving and making choices to increase raw skill rather than rating, rerolled to Druid, using even more networking strats and a lot of other stuff. Oyeah ,switched guild as well.

WoG Brainstormz # 42 - Earthwarden

Avoiding timesinks is a habit ever since Earthwarden (Druid Tank Mace from BC) got replaced early Wrath, alts played depend on how one-sided Blizzard's thinking is with a system. Had my best gold making run ever with Enchanting before 8.2. Changed playstyle entirely to multiclassing by myself instead of doing serious PvP. Stacking classes I enjoy. Blizzard repeat mistakes with stats every expansion. I will force myself to stick to fewer alts before flying. Devotion, my main's guild, has finally gotten their shit together and progress much further than the old iteration of the guild. 5/8 HC @ patch 8.2 raid.

WoG Brainstormz # 41 - Classic Realms and Playstyles

My friend, Krieeg, wanted to go all in on Classic as a ganking Rogue. Me, on the other hand, wanted to get my main names and dabble in Classic 6-18 months after launch. No hype train, no queues, no obligations, just play it at my own pace. Make my coppers and silvers and just enjoy the ride of old WoW slowly. Well, those plans went to shit, so here we are. The entire world is upside down.

The best part about Classic is that I can play them entirely differently. So I'm playing retail as an action arcade version of WoW where I can blast through things alone.

Side notes: Good luck understanding this episode. It's oldschool Grayz in many ways. Also, the audio skips at times. This is an issue with my beloved s7 and I'll keep on recording on it. But if the skips hurt a very important topic in the future, I might have to use on another phone. Time tells.

WoG Brainstormz # 40 - Classic Leveling (Part 1)

The different leveling options I have. How I've chosen to level the first time around and why. Triple team multibox leveling.

If you can't stand background noise be safe and stop around 3.40. The 2nd recording was recorded inside a bus filled with kids.

WoG Brainstorms # 39 - Future Reputation Strategies

Plans for the future. Cap reputations on main Hunter. Reach enough rep for professions on my Tier 1 alts; Mage and Warlock. Slowly repeat the process with my Tier 1.5 main Priest. Main Druid can slack entirely since Hunter now has modern day Inscription capped and is keeping it. While Druid has all of the old stuff, which is harder to get after the profession leveling changes. At least on low pop realms.

 

The rest of my alts won't touch reps at all  except for unlocking whatever the f*** Blizzard forces us to unlock in future expansions.

 

Side topic not as fleshed out: Dropped Herbalism on alts and switched to Enchanting in most cases. Stationary characters can disenchant anything, but they can't herb. Also I chose Skinning on a select few alts and my newly created Druids are all 2x gatherers with Herbalism + Mining. 2nd set of Druids were being leveled in Jade Forest as of this recording.

WoG Update # Update 6 - Flashbacks and Classic Overload

Recorded a ton of unreleased episodes since my return a month before patch 8.2. That will become a Flashbacks thingy.

Also playing WoWC (WoW Classic) 6-18 months ahead of my planned schedule.Having a f***load of fun too. This means that I might create "content" for that as well.

Sidenote: Actually feels weird to see, but thanks for still listening although I hardly upload episodes. Ever.

WoG Update # 5 - Crashing Computers and Darkmoon Fairies

There have been issues with the synching between the podcast feed and the blog. Today it got fixed. This entry is a good new beginning.

Old computer is not doing well. New computer is probably "The Move". Darkmoon Faire is up and choosing which alts to level in what order matters. At least to me. The 10% buff is best used on alts that can't Heirloom their levels anymore. While the lower alts have their rested XP + Heirlooms and should be fine. Especially since I hardly level at all without rested XP. Rep buffs? I use it on the Emissary world quests and any other quest that I deem worthy.
