I haven't updated the WoW or Gold blog for a long time and here's post on why. The amount of ideas I have for the blog as well as other things that are WoW related are many, but the time I have on my hands is a lot less now than it was 5-8 months ago. This won't change, so it leads to one of two things; Either I prioritize the blog and my WoW profile or I go with my real life and focus on what needs to be done there. The choice is simple.

Diary Post - My Plans 16th of February 2012

There's a lot of things happening both in-game and out of the game that are WoW and gaming related in general. After seeing Jim's livestream I was incredibly inspired to get my own show on the road, to say the least. What I mean by that is so much more than WoW, so let's just leave it at that. Make sure to follow him @powerwordgold on Twitter! His stream is really good, especially if you enjoy a relaxed experience with a fellow gamer.


Here's parts of my current plan. Things will change, but today i'm focusing on just putting some of my goals and ideas out there, especially since the first thing I choose to focus on will affect how much time I put into this very blog in future.

• Move my focus from writing on this blog to recording and posting videos for Youtube. I'll put posts on the blog when I post something, but i'll spend less time writing and more time talking. It's all about learning and the endgame. I'm all about new challenges in order to keep things fresh and interesting for myself, so the best way for me to evolve is by increasing the toughness of the challenges I choose.

Diary Post - Grayz's Extreme Poseidus Strategy

I choose an ugly sea horse instead!

I wrote this the 22nd of May 2011.
The reasons that i'm posting it now are:

1. I killed Poseidus for the second time on New years eve 2012.
2. It shows bits of my thought process during the craziest rare hunting phase that i've been through to date.
3. Lastly because I won't delete this post anyway.

Disclaimer! This isn't the most efficient way to farm Poseidus. But it is the strategy that I used, mainly because I was bored of WoW in general.

This is a post that i've written for Cold's Blogging Carnival. He asked for one topic, but since i'm Grayz and I follow Inspiration I chose two. One major change that I almost forgot
A quest log that allows a whopping 200 quests. 100 dailies and 100 normal quests. I'm tired of having to plan which quests I take, not which i'll do! I don't mind planning the route, but to plan which quests to skip because im quest capped is just sad.

The two major changes that I want to see implemented
Add real BoA heirlooms that players can mail across realms and add the possibility to use BoA gold, for cross realm toons that need gold. The heirlooms should've been BoA across realms to begin with and not BoR (Bind on Realm).

Farming Poseidus - The 2nd kill (New Years Eve 2012)

 

  NPCscan has gone off. NPCscan overlay shows the yellow circle that's visible on the minimap.

So I couldn't sleep after New Years Eve and decided to do all kinds of shit. I ran some heroics on one hunter and then decided to go look for Poseidus for the 4th time today on my other. I flew ABOVE the water and NPCscan went off 6.32 am) and I killed her/him/it/theugly for the first time on Agamaggan, but the second time in total. How does it feel? Good.

WoW or Gold: Misdirect Episode 4 - Poseidus Special part 2

This was recorded before the 2nd Poseidus kill on New Years Eve!

First off, I have my girlfriend and her kid in the room in this episode and for some reason i'm extremely focused for being me although I have the chance to rant on about all kinds of things. I keep it below 15 minutes and manage to pull off an episode that actually has to do with the title, most of the time. Not bad at all!

WoW or Gold: Misdirect Episode 3 - Poseidus Special Part 1

This is the first episode where I try to be more focused, use show notes and stick to a topic. The first minutes stick to the random Tauren bullshit as it should, in pure Grayz style. I could be off with the minutes but skip back and forth and pray to god that you find some information about this Rare Ugly Seafuck.

WoW or Gold: Misdirect Episode 2

This episode is done "off the head" a'la hip hop style, meaning without any pre-written show notes, but in a radio show form. It was recorded since my internet died on a whole fucking metric tons of times on my hairy ass. Waves @Twizzletank for the inspiration! 

I' m also using my rap mic which is way better than the 'Murloc on street corner' shit that  I was using earlier.

WoW or Gold: Misdirect Episode 1

Here's the first episode that was recorded. I'm adding every episode as a blog post to make it easier to find them. I'll add a Misdirect section where every uploaded Youtube episode can be found. 

In this episode I talked about random bullshit with a bullshit mic. Don't have much else to add really. No show notes.

Blog for money or blog while making money?

This post was started before patch 4.3 and my return to WoW. I'm back and i'll be around for another 12 months so just have that in mind, will ya? Sorry for the confusion, but it won't be worse than usual anyways. WoW or Gold is pure confusion!

When I started the blog I was fully focused on using it to improve my gold making in the first place. Beyond that I also saw the gold addiction as a good opportunity to learn principles that would help me make money in real life. Besides doing what I believe in, which I think is the absolute most important thing a human being can do, I strongly believe in developing my financial intelligence.

Patch 4.3 - Blizzard suddenly returns!?

It's going down, dawg!

This post was updated over a few days, so it's all over the place, but I got what I wanted to say out there. Enjoy patch 4.3!

Before I began writing this post I had sketched on quite a few ideas, but none caught my attention long enough to become a post. I must say that it's hard to keep the story short. What I mean by that is the fact that i've gone from being completely bored of the game to feeling that the game has a fresh feel to it again, which frankly amazes me, to say the least. Why? Transmogrification in combination with 2 of the 3 new dungeons that i've run as well as the Looking for Raid tool which just excites the fuck out of me.

Here are my thoughts on why Patch 4.3 is the best content patch since 2.3 and 2.4 in TBC and ...

Epilogue: I could do shorter posts, but fuck it, i'll write as I feel. Easier that way + I suck at following the rules and I write for my own enjoyment. Let's get things into gear shall we?

Transmogrification (added patch 4.3)

The ability to use any class specific gear with stats and transform it into any gear you have in your bags (and/or in your Void storage?). There are some restrictions and it costs gold.

I've raided, i've done PvP, i've reached the two gold caps (214k, 1 million), i've been addicted to playing alts and even collected mounts at times when nothing else has made sense. I did end up quitting the game a few months ago. I wasn't sure if it was for good, but I wasn't expecting to play in at least 4-6 months time.

So why am I writing this? Why is this so important that I have to create my own posts based on what Critical has written about? Why the hell did I even begin writing this second post before I had managed to finish my comment to his post!? In what way do my posts show support for The Gold Queen? The questions are many and i'm honestly not interested in answering them at all.

I just read Critical Goblin's post about The Gold Queen. I'm not writing this post to defend nor attack Critical. The reason i'm writing this post is a different one; Freedom of speech. Now, freedom of speech is one of those topics were people can claim that everyone should be free to speak their mind, but not when it comes to certain things for various emotional reasons. What those things could be aren't of importance here, i've chosen another focus for this post.

Not to mention all of the other women and girls in the world that have gotten hurt whether it's physically or psychologically in the past or the present.
